Shopping HCMC
Saturday, July 175:46 AM

HCMC shopping;

Talking about HCMC shopping.
I only went to ben than market, Chinatown n vicom plaza.

Ben than market was so far my favorite.
but u definitely have to know how to bargain well!
U can find everything, anything there.
But ain't really gd as it's very touristy.
And they mark up quite a lot, around 50-100%.
Day time it's a huge sheltered area.
And when it turns dark, it becomes night market on the road with small tentages. ( just like our lat pat sat having business on the closed road)
Then along the night market, are all the places serving seafood.
The same thing at the night market, it's all highly marked up prices, so u really have to bargain.
I bought 2 dress at a bargain price of VND130,000 whereby other stalls were selling at VND200,000 the lowest.
And also gotten some polo t and t-shirts.

Explored Chinatown.
When we arrived at late afternoon, the ben tay market was already closing.
But there ain't shopping there. It was selling mostly household stuff.
we walked around chinatown on our own, not knowing really where the happening places are.
walking aimlessly for like an hour plus then we decided that we might as well take a cab back to Ben Tahn market.
in the cab going back, then we saw lots of shopping areas looking not bad.

Vicom plaza.
it's the biggest and highest end shopping mall in HCMC.
it just opened in April this year.
you find all your usual shops in Vicom, e.g. birken stock , charles & keith (super expensive there, compared to spore), triumph, cal's junior blah blah blah....
so it was just walking around the mall to see see look look.
